Recognizes Senior Trooper Richard Daryl Bosarge, Jr., of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency as a nominee for the 2017 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement.

On February 6, 2016, on Interstate 10 in Mobile County, Trooper Bosarge crossed four lanes of traffic to assist an unresponsive driver, broke the vehicle window with his baton, removed the victim, and provided first aid.

The victim, a 76-year-old man, suffered a seizure and stroke; hospital staff credited Trooper Bosarge's swift first aid application with saving his life.

Trooper Bosarge has made split-second decisions that have saved the lives of four individuals throughout his career, demonstrating exceptional courage and commitment to protecting Alabama residents.

The House directs that Trooper Bosarge receive a copy of this resolution as evidence of the legislature's admiration and esteem.
