Nominates Officer Kevin Studyvin of the Fultondale Police Department for the 2017 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement, the state's highest law enforcement award for extraordinary courage in the line of duty.

On August 11, 2016, Officer Studyvin responded to a call about a suspicious individual breaking into cars and engaged in gunfire with the armed suspect after being fired upon.

The suspect broke into a home where a family was present and held them at gunpoint before attempting to flee; officers located and apprehended the suspect with assistance from a state helicopter.

Recognizes Officer Studyvin for demonstrating immense courage and quick response in protecting fellow officers and civilians from an eminent threat during the life-threatening incident.

Directs that Officer Studyvin receive a copy of the resolution as evidence of the House of Representatives' admiration and esteem.
