Recognizes and honors Agent Robbie Autery of the 17th Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force as a nominee for the 2017 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement.

Agent Autery began his law enforcement career with the Chilton County Sheriff's Department in 2004, joined the Alabama Department of Public Safety in 2007, became a K-9 Handler in 2008, and joined the 17th Judicial District Attorney's Office in 2013 to establish the state's first District Attorney's Office Criminal Interdiction Team.

Agent Autery and his K-9 partner Suza have led Alabama in total drug seizures in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, seizing 458 pounds of cocaine, 154 pounds of methamphetamine, and 2,178 pounds of marijuana worth over $30 million in street value, plus $5,674,503 in U.S. currency.

Agent Autery maintains a 100 percent conviction rate on all drug trafficking cases in state and federal court and has successfully prosecuted Federal Drug Trafficking and Conspiracy cases across Alabama's Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts.

Agent Autery received the 2012 DIAP Co Instructor of the Year Award, 2012 DIAP Work Horse Award, 2013 DIAP Networker of the Year Award, and 2014 DIAP/EPIC Bob Thompson National Interdiction Officer of the Year Award.
