Mae C. Jemison High School in Huntsville, Alabama opened in the 2016-2017 school year by merging students from Butler High School and Johnson High School.

The school is named after NASA astronaut Mae C. Jemison and operates under the mission to work relentlessly, cultivate high expectations, and serve others.

State Basketball Champions LaJarrod Davis, Brandon McCarver, Brandon Crosby, Tony Toney, JaQuavious Horton, Quayton Gurley, Jamar Jackson, Nathaniel Jones, DeVonte Lanier, Brandon Nicholas, John Petty, and Ricky Griffin are recognized.

Football Champion Malik Williams, Wrestling Champions Jailen Young and Jaquon Rhodes, scholarship winners, and ROTC Cadets are honored for their achievements.

The House of Representatives recognizes and honors the faculty, staff, and students of Mae C. Jemison High School for outstanding contributions in athletics, military service, leadership, and band performances.
