House Resolution mourning the death of Mrs. Velma Primm Nettles, who died on April 24, 2017, at age 71 in Vredenburg, Alabama.

Mrs. Nettles was born December 2, 1945, and was a faithful member of Pine Flat Missionary Baptist Church in Hybart, Alabama, serving as choir member, Missionary Society treasurer, and Matron.

She was employed by Simplex Industries as a machine operator and later worked with the Alabama Tombigbee Regional Commission and Blackbelt Treasures.

Survivors include five children, a twin sister, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and multiple godchildren.

The House of Representatives records her death with deep sadness and offers this resolution as tribute to her life and sympathy to her family.
