Nominates Officer Kevin Studyvin of the Fultondale Police Department for the 2017 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement, Alabama's highest law enforcement award for extraordinary courage in the line of duty.

Officer Studyvin responded to a suspicious individual breaking into cars on August 11, 2016, chased the suspect who crashed through a fence, fired at the officer, broke into a home with a family inside, and held them at gunpoint.

Officer Studyvin blocked the suspect's vehicle with his marked police car, exchanged gunfire with the suspect, and assisted in his apprehension with help from a state helicopter and other officers.

Resolution recognizes Officer Studyvin's immense courage, diligence, quick response, and unwavering commitment to protect residents of Fultondale and prevent harm to fellow law enforcement and civilians.

House directs that Officer Kevin Studyvin receive a copy of the resolution as evidence of the legislature's admiration and esteem.
