HR409 Summary

• Commends the Anniston High School Band for outstanding musical achievement under the direction of Band Director Ruben Mitchell.

• Band has garnered over 150 superior ratings from competitions and festivals throughout Alabama and participated in the Florida Citrus Bowl Parade in 2013 and the Magic City Classic Parade in Birmingham eight times.

• During the 2015-16 school year, the band earned Superior Ratings in multiple categories, Best in Class Dance and Color Guard honors, and achieved a State Music Performance Assessment Overall Superior Rating.

• During the 2016-17 school year, the band earned Superior Ratings at the Central Alabama Marching Band Competition and Magic City Marching Band Festival, and placed second overall in Division One at the High-Stepping Nationals Competition with third place nationally for dance line.

• The Alabama House of Representatives honors and commends the Anniston High School Band and the Marching Bulldogs, extending best wishes for continued success.
