Trey Cunningham holds the national and world record in the 60-meter hurdles for runners age 20 and under with a time of 7.487 seconds, breaking the previous record of 7.53 seconds set by Grant Holloway of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Cunningham established the new record at the Last Chance Invitational in Birmingham on January 27, 2017, and holds two of the four fastest 60-meter hurdle times in United States history for athletes under 20.

Cunningham is a senior at Winfield City High School in Winfield, Alabama, and recently signed a scholarship to attend Florida State University.

Cunningham set a personal best of 6.78 seconds in the 60-meter dash, the second-best time in the nation for that event.

The Alabama House of Representatives honors and commends Trey Cunningham for his athletic achievement and character.
