Robert Joseph Webb of Thomaston, Alabama, died on May 4, 2017, at age 78.

Webb was born January 5, 1939, in Butler, Alabama, graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1957, and attended Auburn University where he ran track and held the university record for the 440-yard dash.

Webb was a member of the Auburn All-Time SEC Track and Field Championship Team in 1961 and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon social fraternity.

Webb worked as a sales representative for 3M Company in the industrial tape and video division for many years.

The House of Representatives expresses condolences to his surviving spouse Barbara Phillips Webb, three children, grandchildren, and two brothers.
