Honors the Jefferson County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., for outstanding community service.

Chapter has increased political awareness among high school youth over the past 20 years through its Five-Point Program.

Sponsors select students from Jefferson County and Shelby County to participate in the Legislative Page Program, expanding from 2 students in 1996 to up to 14 students per legislative session.

Past chapter presidents include Pearlie G. Thomas, Frieda Bush, Jackie Truss, Vernandi R. Greene, Vallery Lee, Rosalind Short, and Katrina McTyer, with current president Cheryl Y. Hilliard.

House of Representatives commends the organization and offers best wishes for continued success in future endeavors.
