AL SB10

Amends Section 32-6-212 of the Alabama Code to authorize boat manufacturers and dealers with operations in Alabama to apply to the Department of Revenue for authority to issue temporary license plates and registration certificates for boat trailers sold out of state.

Extends temporary licensing authority to manufacturers and dealers of other trailer types, including semi-trailers and utility trailers, for out-of-state sales.

Standardizes bond requirements for all manufacturers and dealers issuing temporary plates and registration certificates by referencing Section 40-12-398, Code of Alabama 1975.

Provides an exemption from additional bonding requirements for manufacturers or dealers who have already entered into bonds pursuant to Sections 32-8-34, 32-20-22, or 40-12-398.

Takes effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
