• Authorizes Board of Nursing investigators to enforce the Nurse Practice Act and Alabama Uniform Controlled Substances Act when violations are committed by licensed nurses or nursing license applicants.

• Allows Board of Nursing investigators to inspect documents and enforce laws related to alleged violations by licensees as part of their investigative duties.

• Authorizes the Board of Nursing to expunge disciplinary action records against licensed nurses for purposes of public disclosure.

• Specifies that Board of Nursing investigators are not entitled to overtime compensation under state law sections 36-21-4, 36-21-5, or 36-21-13.
