AL SB203

Amends Section 16-1-25 of the Alabama Code to clarify access requirements for military recruiters in public schools and higher education institutions.

Requires all city and county public school systems and public institutions of higher education to grant military recruiters of the United States Armed Forces and United States Department of Homeland Security the same access to students and campus facilities as prospective employers or postsecondary institutions receive.

Replaces the previous requirement of "reasonable access" with a mandate for equal access and information-sharing comparable to that granted to other recruiting organizations.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
