• Repeals eight sections of Alabama Code restricting firearm carrying, including restrictions on concealed weapons, firearms on private property, firearms at demonstrations, and crime-while-armed statutes.

• Amends Section 13A-11-61.2 to maintain firearm prohibitions only at law enforcement buildings, detention facilities, psychiatric facilities, courthouses, and athletic events unless the person holds a valid permit.

• Allows firearms in locked vehicles at sheriff's offices that issue pistol permits and permits employees to store lawfully possessed firearms in privately owned vehicles in parking areas.

• Requires entities with authority over restricted premises to post notices at public entrances alerting people that firearms are prohibited, with violation classified as a Class C misdemeanor.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
