SB336 Summary

• Amends Section 35-8B-3 of the Alabama Code to permit off-premises consumption sales of alcoholic beverages in community development districts formed under Section 35-8B-1(h).

• Allows any person licensed by the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to sell alcoholic beverages for on-premises or off-premises consumption within a qualifying district if the district board approves seven-day-a-week sales.

• Requires majority approval from the community development district's board of control before any alcoholic beverage sales are permitted within the district.

• Maintains existing provisions for on-premises consumption sales in districts formed under Sections 35-8B-1(a), (b), (d), (e), (f), and (g).

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon becoming law.
