Amends Section 30-3-4.2 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to specify where grandparent visitation petitions must be filed.

Requires grandparent visitation actions to be assigned to the circuit court's domestic relations division, if one exists in the circuit.

Alternatively, actions must be assigned to a circuit judge who regularly hears domestic relations cases if no domestic relations division exists.

Maintains existing standards for grandparent visitation petitions, including requirements to establish a significant and viable relationship with the grandchild and prove visitation is in the child's best interest.

Becomes effective immediately upon the Governor's passage and approval or when otherwise becoming law.
