AL SB63

Allows students in public and nonpublic schools to possess and apply federal Food and Drug Administration regulated over-the-counter sunscreen at school and school-based events.

Prohibits the State Board of Education and State Board of Nursing from applying any rules to student possession or use of over-the-counter sunscreen.

Requires a Parent Prescriber Authorization Form (PPA) with parent or guardian signature when requesting school board employees to apply sunscreen to a student, with no physician signature or order required.

Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
