Amends Section 8-19-14 of the Code of Alabama 1975 regarding the Deceptive Trade Practices Act statute of limitations.

Extends the general statute of limitations for actions under the act from one year to four years from the date of the transaction giving rise to the cause of action.

For contracts or warranties longer than three years, actions may be brought no later than one year from the expiration date of the contract or warranty or four years after discovery of the violation, whichever occurs first.

Maintains the discovery rule allowing actions to be brought within one year after the person bringing the action discovers or reasonably should have discovered the act or practice in question.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
