• Proposes a constitutional amendment to Article VI, Section 157 requiring legislative approval when the Alabama Supreme Court affirms a decision by the Court of the Judiciary to remove a judge from office.

• Specifies that if two-thirds of members elected to each house of the Legislature vote to affirm the Supreme Court's removal decision, the judge shall be removed from office.

• Requires the Governor to call an extraordinary legislative session if the Legislature is not in session when the Court of the Judiciary decision is affirmed, upon notification from the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and Speaker of the House.

• Deletes the constitutional provision under Article VI, Section 159 that disqualifies a judge from acting as judge while a complaint is pending before the Court of the Judiciary by the Judicial Inquiry Commission.
