Commemorates the life and legacy of Thomas A. McLeod, a lifelong Alabama resident who made significant contributions to education.

McLeod earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Howard College and advanced degrees including an Ed.D from the University of Alabama.

Served as a mentor and leader in Student Services at the University of Alabama, assisting minority students in pursuing equality and helping hire some of the institution's first minority employees.

Held leadership positions as Dean of the Technical School at John C. Calhoun State Community College in Decatur and as President of Southwest Technical College in Mobile during its transition to Bishop State Community College.

Legislature recognizes McLeod's accomplishments and his impact on the countless students whose lives he touched throughout his distinguished career.
