Alabama applies to Congress under Article V of the U.S. Constitution to call a constitutional convention limited to proposing an amendment requiring that Congress pass no bill embracing more than one subject, with that subject clearly expressed in the bill's title.

The Alabama Secretary of State is directed to transmit copies of this resolution to the President, congressional leadership, Alabama's congressional delegation, and presiding officers of legislative houses in all states.

This application is to be combined with similar applications from other states for purposes of reaching the two-thirds state threshold required to convene a constitutional convention on this subject, but shall not be combined with applications on any other subject.

This resolution constitutes a continuing application under Article V that remains in effect until at least two-thirds of state legislatures have made applications on the same subject matter.
