Designates a portion of U.S. Highway 231 from its intersection with Todd Road in Montgomery (mile marker 112.207) to its intersection with Huntress Street in Wetumpka (mile marker 119.327) as the Donald W. Vaughn Highway.

Honors Donald W. Vaughn, P.E., who retired from the Alabama Department of Transportation in June 2012 after 46 years of service, including 46 years beginning in 1966.

Recognizes Vaughn's career progression from Graduate Civil Engineer in 1972 to Chief Engineer/Deputy Director, and his involvement in major road and bridge construction projects including Interstate 22.

Requests the Department of Transportation to determine the cost of fabricating and erecting appropriate signs or markers consistent with applicable requirements and laws.

Specifies that sign erection will proceed upon receiving funds from non-state sources to cover the cost.
