Alabama makes application to Congress pursuant to Article V of the U.S. Constitution to call a convention limited to proposing an amendment to limit the number of terms for Members of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.

The Alabama Secretary of State is directed to transmit copies of this resolution to the President of the United States, Senate President, House Speaker, each Alabama Congressional delegate, and presiding officers of state legislative houses.

This application shall be combined with applications from other states to reach the two-thirds threshold required by Article V, but shall not be combined with applications on any other subject.

The application is deemed rescinded if a constitutional convention is called for any purpose other than congressional term limits or any other active, unrescinded Article V applications passed by the Legislature.

This resolution constitutes a continuing application under Article V until at least two-thirds of state legislatures have made applications on the same subject.
