• Urges the federal government to provide continued access to oil and natural gas lease sales in the Central and Western Gulf of Mexico Planning Areas and the portion of the Eastern Gulf of Mexico Planning Area not subject to Congressional moratorium.

• Requests expanded federal access to the remainder of the Eastern Gulf of Mexico Planning Area in future five-year offshore leasing programs.

• Calls on the federal government to end efforts to repeal revenue sharing with Gulf Coast states and support Congressional efforts to lift the existing revenue sharing cap for Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas.

• Cites economic benefits including 651,000 jobs sustained in fiscal year 2014 (18,000 in Alabama), over $7 billion in federal revenue, and $11 billion contributed to Alabama's economy by the oil and natural gas industry.

• Directs transmission of the resolution to the President, Secretary of the Interior, U.S. House Speaker, U.S. Senate Majority Leader, and all members of Alabama's Congressional Delegation.
