• Designates June 27, 2017, as Post-Traumatic Stress Injury Awareness Day and June 2017 as Post-Traumatic Stress Injury Awareness Month in Alabama

• Advocates using the term "Post-Traumatic Stress Injury" (PTSI) instead of "Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder" to reduce stigma associated with the condition

• Acknowledges that PTSI is a treatable brain injury resulting from severe traumatic events including military combat, sexual assault, abuse, natural disasters, and terrorism

• Encourages the Alabama Department of Public Health, Alabama Military Department, and Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs to educate the public about PTSI causes, symptoms, and treatment

• Requests transmission of the resolution to the Governor of Alabama
