Recognizes February 26 through March 4, 2017, as National Eating Disorders Awareness Week in Alabama with the theme "It's Time to Talk About It"

Acknowledges that 20 million women and 10 million men in the United States suffer from clinically significant eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorders

Notes that anorexia has the highest mortality rate of any mental illness and that less than one-third of youth with eating disorders receive treatment

Directs copies of the resolution to be provided to the National Eating Disorders Association and the Alabama Department of Public Health
