HB200 Summary

• Allows members of the Clerks' and Registers' Supernumerary Fund to transfer creditable service and accumulated contributions to the Teachers' Retirement System, Employees' Retirement System, or Judicial Retirement Fund within one year of joining the receiving system.

• Members transferring from the Clerks' and Registers' Supernumerary Fund may receive credit by paying the full actuarially determined cost minus the amount of contributions already made.

• Requires the Board of Control of the transferring retirement system to certify the member's service credits and contribution amounts to the receiving system's Board of Control.

• Amends three sections of the Code of Alabama 1975 (§12-18-110, §16-25-4, and §36-27-12.1) to include the Clerks' and Registers' Supernumerary Fund in existing transfer provisions.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
