Repeals restrictions on carrying or possession of firearms on certain property or in motor vehicles by persons with or without a concealed pistol permit (Sections 9-11-304, 13A-11-50, 13A-11-51, 13A-11-71, 13A-11-73, and 13A-11-74).

Amends Section 13A-11-61.2 to revise firearm prohibitions at specific locations including police stations, detention facilities, courthouses, and athletic venues, while allowing locked firearms in employee vehicles in parking areas.

Permits firearms in sheriff's offices that issue pistol permits if the firearm remains locked in a vehicle while on premises.

Establishes that violations of firearm restrictions are Class C misdemeanors and requires notice posted at public entrances of prohibited locations.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
