• Establishes the Alabama Psychology Professionals Wellness Committee under the Board of Examiners in Psychology to identify and intervene when licensed psychologists or psychological technicians are impaired by illness, substance use, or mental/physical conditions.

• Requires the board to contract with nonprofit organizations, health professionals, or professional associations to provide functions including receiving reports of suspected impairment, intervening in cases, contracting with treatment providers, and monitoring rehabilitation.

• Committee shall consist of 3-11 members including licensed psychology professionals appointed by the board and one representative from the contracted organization.

• Grants immunity from civil and criminal liability to committee members, board employees, contractors, and associated personnel acting in their official capacities.

• All committee records and proceedings are confidential and not subject to court subpoena or discovery, except that records may be disclosed to the board upon request if a licensee breaches a treatment contract.
