Alabama Forestry Commission may adopt, alter, amend, or repeal rules governing preservation, protection, and use of state forests and lands it owns, leases, or controls.

Any person violating an adopted rule commits a Class C misdemeanor and shall be fined not less than $50 nor more than $500 per offense, and may be required to pay all costs of proceedings.

Collected fines shall be paid to the Office of the State Forester and delivered to the State Treasurer for placement in the Alabama Forestry Commission Fund.

State Forester and designated State Forestry Commission employees are authorized to prefer charges and issue citations for violations of adopted rules or other article provisions.

Act becomes effective immediately upon passage and Governor approval or upon becoming law without signature.
