HB333 Summary

• Amends Section 32-5-240 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to change the timing requirement for vehicle headlamps from "a half hour after sunset to a half hour before sunrise" to "sunset to sunrise"

• Expands when lighted headlamps must be displayed on vehicles to begin immediately at sunset rather than waiting a half hour after sunset, and to continue until sunrise rather than ending a half hour before sunrise

• Maintains all other existing lighting requirements for vehicles, including requirements for tail lamps, reflectors, clearance lamps, and side marker lamps

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor
