Amends Section 11-91A-7 of the Alabama Code to authorize the Local Government Health Insurance Board to provide additional types of optional health coverages or services.

Authorizes the board to administer payment of health care services on behalf of employer participants in the Local Government Health Insurance Program for employees or officials who suffer on-the-job injuries.

Participation in on-the-job injury health care services is optional for employer participants, and refusal to participate cannot affect program eligibility or rate establishment.

The board has authority to establish terms and conditions for administering these optional coverages under its existing powers and duties.

Effective immediately upon passage and gubernatorial approval.
