Names Section 31-1-6 of the Code of Alabama the Military Family Jobs Opportunity Act and requires all professional licensing boards to promulgate rules by January 1, 2019, to implement its requirements.

Allows spouses of active duty military members, reserve members, transitioning service members within 24 months of retirement, and surviving spouses of service members to obtain professional licenses or certificates in Alabama if they hold valid licenses from other states with equal or greater licensing requirements.

Requires licensing boards to issue temporary permits effective for at least 180 days to eligible military spouses while they complete Alabama-specific requirements not required in their original licensing state.

Mandates that licensing boards waive initial licensing fees for eligible military spouses and process fee waiver applications within 30 days.

Excludes from the act: legal practice, securities licenses, peace officer certifications, and professions regulated by the State Board of Pharmacy, Board of Dental Examiners, Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Liquefied Petroleum Gas Board, and State Board of Medical Examiners.
