• Pike County Commission may regulate and permit sales of alcoholic beverages outside the City of Troy limits on Sundays after 12:00 p.m. for both on-premises and off-premises consumption by properly licensed retail licensees.

• Sales authority may be approved either by county commission resolution or by referendum election of qualified county electors outside Troy's corporate limits.

• If a referendum is called, the county commission cannot later approve the act by resolution and approval can only occur through the referendum election process.

• Referendum must be held in conjunction with a regularly scheduled state or local election, with a majority "Yes" vote required to make Section 1 operative immediately.

• If referendum voters reject the measure, a second election cannot be held less than one year after the prior election; the act becomes effective immediately upon passage and gubernatorial approval.
