• Raises the minimum age to purchase, use, possess, or transport tobacco, tobacco products, or alternative nicotine products from 19 years to 21 years of age.

• Allows minor employees of tobacco permit holders to handle, transport, or sell tobacco products while working if they are under 21 years old and a supervisor age 21 or older is present.

• Makes it unlawful for persons under 21 years of age to present false or fraudulent identification to obtain tobacco or nicotine products.

• Requires citing agencies to notify a parent, legal guardian, or legal custodian when a person under 21 is cited for violations, unless the person is 19 years or older or has been emancipated by court order.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
