• Spouses of deceased supernumerary circuit court reporters who served 40 consecutive years in the same circuit court become eligible for monthly death benefits.

• The surviving spouse receives a monthly allowance equal to 50 percent of the state allowance that was received by the deceased supernumerary court reporter.

• The act becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
