• Imposes a $30 booking fee on each person booked into the Coosa County Jail and subsequently convicted of a crime, in addition to any fines, court costs, or other charges.

• Court clerk must enter the fee on the docket sheet and collect it in the same manner and time as court costs, though the fee is not classified as a court cost.

• Booking fee is waived if the defendant's sentence is commuted to time served.

• Distributes revenues as follows: $20 to the Coosa County Sheriff's Department Law Enforcement Fund and $10 to the Coosa County General Fund for jail operations.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
