Honors and commends 30 fourth and fifth grade students from Huntsville City School System who represented Alabama as the official education delegation at the 1988 XV Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada.

Students were selected based on essays explaining why the experience would be valuable and educational, and witnessed opening and closing ceremonies, Olympic museums, Olympic Center, and award ceremonies.

Seventy-nine companies and individuals contributed $45,000,000 toward trip expenses, and flags carried during the parade of nations were made by CF Flag Co. in Huntsville, Alabama.

Resolution recognizes the ambassadors on the 30th anniversary of their 1988 trip and during the current Winter Olympic Games.

House adopted the resolution on March 6, 2018, and Senate adopted on March 13, 2018.
