Commends the Alabama Trails Commission and Pinhoti Trail Partners for developing and promoting the Pinhoti Trail as an extension of the Appalachian Trail.

Recognizes the Pinhoti Trail as a 325-mile hiking trail consisting of 171 miles in Alabama and 154 miles in Georgia that links to the Appalachian Trail in north Georgia.

Acknowledges collaborative efforts by the Alabama Forestry Commission, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, State Parks Division, U.S. Forest Service, University of Alabama Center for Economic Development, The Conservation Fund, and Alabama Hiking Trail Society.

Encourages the Alabama Trails Commission and Pinhoti Trail Partners to study infrastructure needs along the entire trail length, develop infrastructure designs, and implement a master plan to support future incorporation of the Alabama Pinhoti Trail into the Appalachian Trail.
