• Commends Lieutenant Greg McGhee of the Scottsboro Police Department as a nominee for the 2018 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement.

• On August 10, 2017, Lieutenant McGhee responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 72 and Snodgrass Road where a burning, overturned vehicle endangered the occupant.

• Lieutenant McGhee used a fire extinguisher to suppress flames while Officer Kris Roney rescued the driver, Jennifer Nicole Brownfield, 39, from the burning vehicle.

• Lieutenant McGhee received the Scottsboro Police Department Life Saving Certificate for his meritorious actions in the life-threatening situation.
