Commends Officers Parker Henegar and Jordan Shelton of the Scottsboro Police Department for receiving the "Life Saving Award."

Officers responded to a domestic violence shooting on February 11, 2018, in the 100 block of Cecil Street and applied direct pressure to a gunshot wound in the victim's groin area.

Officer Shelton maintained direct pressure with gloved hands for approximately 40 miles during transport from Scottsboro to Huntsville Hospital, saving the victim's life.

Recognizes the officers' demonstrated courage, diligence, and quick response in protecting and serving Scottsboro residents.

Directs that Officers Henegar and Shelton receive a copy of this resolution as evidence of legislative admiration and esteem.
