Honors Andrew T. Walker as a 2018 Young Hero of Alabama selected by Alabama Public Television for excellence in academics, public service, overcoming adversity, and strength of character.

Recognizes Walker as a senior at Florence High School who is a member of the Technology Student Association and competed in state robotics competitions, placing 2nd in 2013, 6th in 2014, and 12th in 2018 Best Robotics Competition.

Acknowledges Walker's long-standing goal to become an electrical engineer since age 7 and his participation in the 12 for Life cooperative education program supported by Southwire Company.

Commends Walker's community service including volunteering at Kiwanis Pancake Day and local thrift stores, while overcoming personal health challenges including kidney surgeries and Tourette Syndrome, and becoming an advocate for others with the condition.
