House Joint Resolution mourning the death and celebrating the life of William Ossian Bolen, Sr., born November 15, 1928, in Selma, Alabama.

Bolen graduated from The University of Alabama (member of School of Communications Hall of Fame), was married to Vivian for 57 years, and served in the U.S. Air Force Department of Information Services for two years, retiring from the Air National Guard and Reserves in 1979 as a lieutenant colonel.

Had a career in broadcast journalism including roles as morning disc jockey at WSGN radio, co-anchor of daily newscasts, host of "Religion in the News" and "Good Day Alabama" on Fox 6.

Survived by four children, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and extended family; preceded in death by his wife Vivian and several siblings and in-laws.

House adopted the resolution on January 23, 2018; Senate adopted on March 28, 2018.
