Proclaims Friday, February 2, 2018, as National Wear Red Day in Alabama to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease in women.

Recognizes that cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women in the U.S., claiming one woman's life approximately every 80 seconds.

Notes that about 80 percent of cardiovascular diseases may be prevented through controlling risk factors such as blood pressure, smoking, cholesterol, and physical activity.

Urges all Alabamians to wear red on February 2, 2018, and support the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women movement to empower women to know key health numbers including total cholesterol, HDL, blood pressure, blood sugar, and BMI.
