Commends Ronald L. Jones for outstanding professional achievement upon his retirement as Chief Examiner of the Alabama Department of Examiners of Public Accounts.

Jones completed his fifth seven-year term as Chief Examiner and was instrumental in conducting thousands of audits of state and local agencies and entities.

Recognized for founding the Operational Audit Division in 1970, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Troy University, and serving nearly 33 years in the Alabama Air National Guard at the rank of Major.

Jones served as past president of the National State Auditor's Association (NSAA) and as state representative for the Southeastern Intergovernmental Audit Forum, and is an active member of NASACT, GFOA, ACFE, and ACFEI.

House adopted the resolution on January 30, 2018, and the Senate adopted it on February 1, 2018.
