Mourns the death of Mr. Robert Frank "Clip" Coates, Jr., who died on January 16, 2018, at age 55.

Recognizes Coates as a native of Huntsville, Alabama who graduated from Randolph School and Birmingham Southern College, became President of the family car rental business (Avis, Budget Rent a Car, Budget Truck Rental), and founded Spirit Coach in 2000.

Acknowledges his involvement in numerous civic organizations including Huntsville Rotary Club, Crime Stoppers, Boys and Girls Club, and various motorcoach and rental industry associations, as well as his service as a mentor through the Rotary Club STRIVE Program.

Recognizes survivors including his wife Debbie, three daughters (Nicki Marlowe, Brooke Alderman, and Kasie Bishop), two grandchildren, and other extended family and friends.

Offers the resolution as a tribute to Coates' legacy and expressions of sympathy to his family and friends.
