Captain Robert Walker Hubbard posthumously awarded the Navy Cross for meritorious actions while serving as an Advisor to the Revolutionary Development Cadre in Hue, Republic of Vietnam from January 31 to February 4, 1968.

Organized defense against enemy assaults, covered withdrawal of his unit while inflicting numerous casualties, and provided aid to wounded companions during the Battle of Hue.

Mortally wounded by small-arms fire on February 4, 1968, while leading his group toward friendly forces south of the city with only a single hand grenade.

Alabama House of Representatives posthumously honors and commends Captain Robert Walker Hubbard for his exceptional military service and sacrifice, offering this resolution to his family.
