Honors Carl Gamble, a former United States Air Force Captain, for heroic actions and superior aviation skills that saved his flight crew's lives during the Vietnam War, for which he received the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Commends Gamble for his actions during a 1984 commercial airline hijacking when he safely flew the plane to Havana, protecting passengers and crew after alerting air traffic controllers.

Recognizes Gamble as a Tennessee State University graduate, motivational speaker for youth, and author of "A Memoir: My Blue Yonder," which he signed on February 24, 2018, at the Historic Lowry House in Huntsville, Alabama.
