Honors and commends 30 fourth and fifth grade students from Huntsville City School System who represented Alabama as the official education delegation at the 1988 XV Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada.

Students were selected based on essays explaining why the experience would be valuable and educational; they attended the opening ceremony, Olympic museums, Olympic Center, and award ceremonies.

Upon returning home, students presented their trip to sponsors and shared reports with peers; seventy-nine companies and individuals contributed $45,000,000 toward trip expenses.

Recognizes the students on the 30th anniversary of their 1988 Olympic trip and acknowledges that flags carried during the parade of nations were made by CF Flag Co. in Huntsville, Alabama.
