• Mr. Mickey D. Busby died on February 16, 2018, at age 73; he was born February 1, 1945, to Lawrence Drayton and Myrtle Busby.

• Mr. Busby was a Gadsden High School graduate who attended Gadsden State Community College and Jacksonville State University, served as a U.S. Navy veteran, and was a 40-year member of Local Plumbers and Pipefitters 498-91.

• He was an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church and initiated a Bible Study Ministry at The Bridge treatment facility.

• Survivors include his wife of 55 years Diania Davis Busby, son Mickey D. Busby III, daughter Myrna Busby Proulx, two grandsons, and multiple siblings.

• The House of Representatives records his death with deep sadness and offers this resolution in tribute to his life and sympathy to his family.
